Myanmar’s leading HR professionals to attend JobNet seminar

Managing human resources in present day Myanmar is subject to numerous issues, as employers in every industry work to attract and retain the best talent.

This month, the nation’s number one job search website JobNet, is bringing the top 200 human resource professionals from the largest Employers in Myanmar together for a seminar at the Sule Shangri-La Hotel. This event is the first in their professional series for 2018 and features a panel of human resource experts from companies operating in various industries.

Top of the agenda is the impact of technology on human resources. While there are benefits that come with using technology to house human resource information systems and bring tasks such as performance appraisals, leave approvals and payroll online, there are also implications. JobNet looks to explore how companies that have introduced technology to improve their systems have progressed, and how others, that may be considering technological improvements, are identifying and assessing potential risks.

Another topic considers employee experience. In a competitive environment, employees can change jobs for a multitude of reasons. The cost to the employer in terms of loss of skills and knowledge, along with the time and cost associated with refilling their position can be draining. This session will explores the employee journey and whether companies are measuring employee satisfaction as closely their customers and what it takes to create a workplace environment where employees feel valued.

Matt De Luca , Managing Director of JobNet.com.mm, said, “As a major player in Myanmar’s employment industry, JobNet interacts daily with employers and job seekers and we listen to the variety of challenges both parties face. We introduced our professional series in 2017 because we wanted to bring the country’s best HR professionals together to discover trending topics, to discuss innovation and share best practice. I’m delighted by the lineup of speakers who will be joining us and learning more about the topics we’ll be discussing on the day.”
