The latest cutting edge technology for road surfacing has now arrived in Myanmar, the company has sole distribution rights in Myanmar and is looking to transform the road networks and more. This is a startup company with possibly one of the most exciting projects happening in country currently. The aim of the company is to transform all of the dirt roads to a sustainable hard surface capable of supporting the heaviest of vehicles using environmentally friendly materials which are completely biodegradable.

The company is looking for a Chief Technical Engineer to join an already existing team of workmen to manage the day to day activities of the projects. This role will require you to be extremely organised and dedicated as the projects are executed in the dry season and so you only have one chance to get everything done.

Responsibilities;
• Manage the day to day activities in executing the projects
• Oversee site surveys and soil testing activities
• Manage a team of ground preparation workers
• Check the soil preparation is ready for polymer application
• Organise the smooth running of multiple projects at once
• Making sure the paving is done exactly to the polymer application requirements
• Liaising with the American team to organise all orders of the polymer solution

Requirements;
• Educated to a degree level in civil engineering
• Experience in construction management
• Preferably experience in road building
• International education and experience
• Extremely well organised and personable
• Fluent in both Burmese and English
• Management experience
• Hands on attitude while being organised in an office environment
This is an excellent opportunity to join an extremely exciting new development company here in Myanmar. This role will require you to be able to travel to the projects and spend most of your time in the field while working from an office in the down season.
