Job Description

A Big Opportunity for ...

VCS is looking for the College Director/Dean to join in one of the top private education institutes in Singapore, going to get business expansion in Yangon.

1. Academic Leadership
• Leads and represents the Institution in its relationships with university partners
• Develop new and existing local pathway school collaborations
• Works closely with the Academic Board and Singapore entity to lead and coordinate the strategic development of academic policies and regulations for the institution
• Provides direction and inputs in all academic matters
• Provides regular updates and reports for all Board meetings

2. Curriculum Development and Quality Improvement
• Manage the partner approval and review processes
• Responsible for the academic curriculum of the institution, providing leadership to the faculty and managing the processes through which teaching and learning strategy and associated policies are administered and implemented
• Lead and establish priorities and plans for programme development and revision
• Directly responsible for academic quality management activities

3. School and Department Activities
• Supervises the work of direct reports
• Approve the appointment, or delisting of associate lecturers
• Guide decisions relating to student progress and take a leading role in monitoring student progress and completion at School and Institution levels
• Liaise with departments in order to encourage and ensure consistency throughout the Institution in arrangements underpinning programme delivery

4. Resource Management
• Propose operating and capital budgets for approval by the Board of Directors and MD
• Accountability for all resource matters within the Academic Division
• Managing resources, including staff recruitment and equipment acquisition
• Delegating responsibilities appropriately to staff in order to ensure the smooth operation of the Schools, Department and Units while retaining overall responsibility for the Academic Division

5. Others
• Provide academic input to institutional enrollment management efforts

Job Requirements

Min Education Qualification : • Master’s degree
Preferred Education Qualification : • Doctoral degree
Min Years of Experience : • Min of 10 years working experience in the PEI, having 5-8 years of demonstrated academic leadership

In-depth knowledge of both University and PE industry
Excellent communicator with strong written communication skills
Interpersonal and diplomatic skills
Excellent organisational and leadership skills to do effective management
Ability to formulate and articulate sound policies
