Your Mission
As Logistics Manager, you will be directly involved in running an internationally renown manufacturing operation delivering thousands of life-changing irrigation products into the hands of rural farmers nationwide. This is a very dynamic position that involves lots of collaboration, so a typical day could see you doing anything from coordinating with different teams, to designing and implementing strategies to manage Proximity’s nationwide warehouse. Meet your team
Proximity Designs is an award-winning social enterprise that designs products and services specifically for rural Myanmar. We are a team of 440 nationwide, but you will be working closely with the head of our Logistics Team to manage logistics operations. Additionally, you will liaise across numerous teams, working with our Finance Team to ensure high standards of integrity in financial records, collaborating with the Manufacturing Team, Sales Team to establish a stock Plan, and following a competitive bidding process to select shipping agency along with the rest of our Logistics team. You will be based at our manufacturing facility in Yangon where your work will ensure the smooth and timely manufacturing of over 20,000 income-boosting irrigation products per year.

What you will do
. Execute complex delivery operations, and deal with quality and timing issues related to our producing in an effective manner
. Take charge of our shipping operations by implementing and improving upon existing processes
. Analyze logistics information stored on MIS as well as shipment data to ensure that monthly budgets are adhered to
. Monitor shipping and nationwide warehouse stocks information in SAP
. Coordinate with international vendors to import timely delivery of necessary parts

Is this you
. Bachelor Degree
. Impeccable Excel Skills with a strong aptitude for computer skills (previous experience working with SAP is also highly advantageous)
. A keen problem solver who works well under pressure and is able to communicate well with different people on any given day
. Previous experience on logistics, warehouse management & importing
. Fluency in English
