An Exciting Opportunity for ...

 The Public Relations Manager will play a key role within the marketing and communications division, developing brand awareness and securing national press for primary and secondary brands. This is a highly entrepreneurial, newly created position with room for expansion.
 Duties include:
 Develop and implement strategic PR programs to achieve significant increases in brand awareness.
-Identify key media outlets.
-Develop compelling story angles.
-Cultivate relationships with key business journalists in national and trade publications.
-Pitch stories to both national and local media. Achieve highest visibility for in print, broadcast, TV and online media outlets.
-Write clear and compelling pitch letters, press releases and by-lined articles.
-Identify medial trends, news cycles and spin opportunities
-Proactively manage editorial calendars
-Analyze and measure results of Pr programs.
-Manage budgets and campaign ROL

Job Requirements

Ideal candidates will process most or all of the following qualifications.
-2-4 years relevant experience in public relations and communications
-Strong network of B2B, national business and trade media contracts
-A strong-sense of teamwork and ability to both manage AND execute programs
-Knowledge of international publications and opportunities is plus
-Excellent written and oral communication skills
-Solid writing skills (writing samples required upon receipt of resume)
-BS/BA Degree

Skills and other pluses:
-Proficiency with basic computer and PR applications including Cession, Sysco’s, Melt water, Catchpole, Google Docs and News Alerts, MS Office Apps (Outlook work, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
-Additional technology prowess given priority (Word Press, video blogging)
-Voracious reader of books, news and magazines.
-Avid consumer of news, politics, entertainment and pop culture
-Strong personal interest in political science, business issues or public policy
