Job Description

Manage and own the full procurement and supply chain cycle including demand planning, forecasting, inventory control, overseas supplier and all import & customs formalities related to this exercise, FDA regulations and application for new licences and renewals. Ensuring timely and efficient delivery of products to internal customers•

1. Ensure effective lines of communication are maintained between key stakeholders both within and outside of the business. This will include but is not limited to vendor partners, logistics partners, finance and sales.
• 2. Leading a team of Pharmacists for application on FDA licences and approvals for imports.
• 3. Timely Application for Import Licences and customs’ formalities related to imports
• 4. Be responsible for introducing functional and cost saving improvements in the supply chain and procurement process.
• 5. Be an integral part of the identification and validation of new supply chain partners, setting performance controls and measurements
• 6. Maintain good cooperation with Sales and Marketing team for stock movement and good relations with multiple suppliers overseas for timely supplies
• 7. Implement standard operating procedures for purchasing, inventory management and reporting. Ensuring continuous workflows and process monitoring.
• 8. Contract management, legal considerations and payment conditions, performance evaluation and risk assessment
• 9. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual procurement plans and progress reports as required
• 10. Prepare Purchase Orders and establish best practice policy for ad hoc purchases.
• 11. Promote zero-tolerance for violations of procurement policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 5 plus years of demonstrated success in Procurement and or Supply Chain Management
• Demonstrated ability to achieve results for a Pharmaceutical/ FMCG/Distribution / trading organization with a multi-cultural working environment.
• Self-starter, capable working autonomously with multiple constituents. Strong interpersonal skills. (Not a role for person needing high management support and training)
• Proven understanding of the workings of effective supply chain management in a distribution environment
• Proven negotiation and contracting skills in a commercial business environment specific to achieving favorable prices and services
• Thorough understanding of complex supply contracts - capable of refining contract language and successfully working with legal support and supplier to attain needed compromise
• Strong organization, planning, and tactical execution abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication ability.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Power point, Word).
Highest degree of integrity and honesty, as the role will be entrusted with committing the company funds
