• Sets and manages client expectations
• In managing account team ensures that work is delegated to the appropriate experience levels within the team structure.
• Work closely with other senior agency staff in conceptualizing, writing and implementing creative and meaningful integrated communications strategies.
• Serve as senior agency contact to a group of accounts, ensuring client satisfaction; bring the value-added approach to all issues and projects; while directing team members to be the day- to day contacts.
• With Senior Managers and Managers, develop and manage projects/programs, including implementation plans, evaluation mechanisms, staffing plans, and timelines.
• Develop and manage budgets and business plans in concert with established corporate fiscal goals, maintaining and monitoring account profitability.
• Contribute to forecasting/projections.
• Direct development of the range of materials in English/Myanmar, developed by account team
including client memos, press releases, speeches, articles, brochures, presentation and
collateral materials.
• Helps team apply knowledge of the creative process, graphics and video production, as well as
IT and emerging media.
• Have a strong understanding of the influencer landscape, and lead the team to successfully
develop and manage multiple talent relationships/contracts.
• Effectively support clients as they deal with crisis or issues situations while using it as a
teaching moment.
• Manage, motivate and develop staff members ensuring a high level of client service and
delivery on client, practice and agency objectives.
o Participate in hiring, assessment, and career development activities.
o Identify strengths and weaknesses of team members, providing guidance and counsel on job performance and career development as appropriate.
• Provide leadership in developing and presenting new business programs for potential and
existing clients.
• Be an active member of the client and target community; cultivate relationships with influencers
and other key external business partners; engage with clients appropriately in cement relations
and better understand their business and issues.
• Ensures the team can articulate the agency’s vision, goals, practice areas, products and overall
capabilities.
• Routinely contributes to agency growth and performance as project, team, group and agency
leader.
Job Requirements
• An experienced PR practitioner who continually seeks new ways to learn, improve and contribute.
• Experienced in building and protecting brand reputations.
• Has their finger on the pulse of Myanmar (Yangon) (Or can quickly learn) – what is hot and not, consumer trends, etc.
• Ability to build a team of integrated consumer PR professionals skilled in brand PR, activations/experiential, influencer engagement, with a strong understanding of social.
• Brings creativity to all they do.
• Confident in advising clients on issues/crisis situations and can develop and activate
proactive/mitigation plans.
• Thinks big picture while being detail oriented.
• Equal shares of entrepreneurial and corporate attitudes. Myanmar is a ‘hands-on’ market so
strong work ethic required and the ability to lead by example.
