• Plan, develop, implement and supervise all aspects of the companies’ accounting and financial control function. Responsible for all accounting and bookkeeping functions on a daily basis, monthly and yearly financial statements, cash flow, budget and financial control/reporting
• Reporting directly to the General Manager and accounting team from headquarters. Work directly with managers on forecasts and budgets.
• Refining operational controls in the management reporting process
• Examining journal vouchers, payment vouchers, petty cash vouchers, purchase vouchers, sales vouchers, receipt vouchers, general ledger reconciliations, and numerous financial analysis including P&L variance and aging
• Handling petty cash fund
• Examining fixed assets, inventory, work in progress, cost control and bank reconciliation
• Identify and eliminate unnecessary cost
• Reviewing accrued expenses, provision, prepaid expenses, expenses allocation
• Control estimated income, unearned income, unidentified receipts, deposit, refundable deposit
• Perform credit reviews. Manage, monitor and ensure timely collection of receivables
• Monitoring cash flow
• Reviewing monthly taxation: withholding tax, input tax and output tax
• Reviewing yearly taxation: withholding tax, corporate income tax
• Reviewing social security report, social contribution report, workmen compensation fund report
• Ensure accounting records are well prepared and maintained in accordance with the company policies, generally accepted accounting standards and local statutory requirements
• Responsible for accuracy, timelines and the general integrity of the accounting function and related reports
• Coordinate and review annual statutory audits and corporate tax returns. Attend to external and internal auditors; questions and inquiries into the accounting and taxation matters
• Facilitating communication with internal and external auditors
• Coordinate and liaise with actuarial valuation on retirement benefits
• Reports to Chief Financial Officer / Financial Controller in the headquarters (Thailand & Myanmar)
• To ensure timely submission of reports to headquarters
• Performs other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
• Myanmar Nationality male or female
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Highly experienced in accounting management with minimum 5 years in accounting operations
• CPA or MBA preferred, but not required
• Familiar with Myanmar accounting standards
• Knowledge of Taxation: VAT, Commercial Tax, Withholding Tax, Corporate Income Tax
• Ability to work independently and as a team player
• Complex problem solving skills and ability to follow through on projects to completion
• Ability to work in a multi-tasked, fast-paced work environment with tight deadlines
• Fluent in written and spoken English (or Thai will be an advantage, but not required)
• Good command of computer literacy and able to use Accounting software
• Knowledge experience in Accounting Software will be added advantage
• Able to work under pressure due to tight deadlines
