About the school -

The Yangon American International School is the first international school of London-listed Myanmar Strategic Holdings (MSH). Our newly renovated state-of-the-art campus is located on Yangon-Insein Road in Haling Township. Offering world-class teaching strategies and curriculum that promote innovation and creativity, we will be enrolling children from aged 3 to 8 and will develop a full-fledged quality K-12 school that is dedicated to preparing students for college through a rigorous academic program that challenges the mind and body.

The school is seeking an outstanding and dynamic Admissions Consultant who will work closely with the Director of Admissions and Admissions Team in creating an outstanding experience for parents and students from the initial inquiry stage through to the child’s first day at school.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and high-quality communication, responding to admissions inquiries assigned by the DOA within 24 hours during the work week.

• Respond actively and politely to admissions inquiries on the phone and walk-ins.

• Record all inquiries and their contact details into a designated system, keeping them up-to-date as it happens.

• Develop the knowledge of the curriculum, the entire admissions process and be able to explain and discuss them with families.

• Schedule school tours and ensure that all school ambassadors and the DOA are informed of the visits.

• Conduct school tours assigned by the DOA.

• Follow up with the inquiries and visits through emails and phone calls in a timely manner set by the DOA.

• Get to know families and be eager to find out and understand what matters the most to them in choosing a school for their child.

• Support the Admissions team and be present at student recruitment and marketing events.

• Facilitate the communication between the school finance team and families to ensure that payments are organised smoothly.

• Support families in purchasing uniforms and in their induction and orientation to ensure that their first day at the school is well-organised and welcoming.

2-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in admissions at K-12 international schools, or an equivalent sales-oriented position

• Bachelor’s degree

• Familiarity with operations of an international school and educational standards

• High energy level and sense of urgency, including some events/school tours/communications after hours if/as required

• Positive outlook, along with excellent organizational skills

• Strong verbal/written English and Myanmar communication skills

• MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)

• Long-term outlook and commitment to building a school and growing with it
