About the school

The Yangon American International School is the first international school of London-listed Myanmar Strategic Holdings (MSH). Our newly renovated state-of-the-art campus is located on Yangon-Insein Road in Haling Township. Offering world-class teaching strategies and curriculum that promote innovation and creativity, we will be enrolling children from aged 3 to 8 and will develop a full-fledged quality K-12 school that is dedicated to preparing students for college through a rigorous academic program that challenges the mind and body.

The school is seeking an outstanding and dynamic Admissions Manager who will work closely with the Director of Admissions and Admissions Team in creating an outstanding experience for parents and students from the initial inquiry stage through to the child’s first day at school.

Responsibilities

• Help organize student recruitment/marketing events and attend those events.

• Ensure timely and high-quality communication, responding to admissions inquiries assigned within 24 hours during the work week.

• Be highly proactive and responsive to all school admissions inquiries.

• Record all inquiries and their contact details into a designated system, closing out unresponsive inquiries in a timely fashion.

• Schedule and conduct individual and group tours of the campus.

• Get to know families and ask great questions to find out their deep-seated needs in choosing a new school for their child

• Facilitate the application and assessment process and collaborate with the class teachers when required.

• Follow up with the inquiries and visits through emails and phone calls in a timely manner.

• Facilitate the communication between the school finance team and families to ensure that payments are organised smoothly.

• Support families in purchasing uniforms and Liaise closely with teachers and staff to ensure smooth inductions of new families and starters

• Follow up with leads that have become unresponsive to rekindle their interest.

• Manage re-enrolment for returning families and ensure their return is as smooth as possible.

• Support the school in identifying opportunities for improvements and risks to alleviate.

• Share and help monitor best practices in admissions across the admissions team

• 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in admissions at K-12 international schools, or an equivalent sales-oriented position

• Bachelor’s degree

• Familiarity with operations of an international school and educational standards

• High energy level and sense of urgency, including some events/school tours/communications after hours if/as required

• Positive outlook, along with excellent organizational and leadership skills

• Strong verbal/written English and Myanmar communication skills

• MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
