Founded in 2015, OneKyat is a local digital startup based in Yangon, and is now the largest online marketplace for selling and buying in Myanmar with more than half a million downloads. We are a small tight-knit team and have a flat hierarchy.

You are a mobile developer with experience in android apps and should have at least 1-year hands-on working experience in native Android development. Your primary focus will be the development of the Android application and their integration with back-end services.

Responsibilities
• Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code
• Design, build and maintain high performance, reusable and reliable native android code
• Help maintain code quality
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android and how to deal with different screen sizes
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
• Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns and best practices
• Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines
• Experience with modern software engineering practices and paradigms - we want you to develop beautiful code which is easy to understand and maintain.
• Experienced with offline storage, threading and performance tuning
• Experienced in code versioning tools and release systems such as Git.
• Experienced in working with Android Studio/Gradle
• Experienced in working with JSON/XML data

• Basic Diploma and/or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• You understand how applications interact with the systems, are resourceful and have the know-how to work independently within a development team.
• Must be conversant in both Burmese and English (both written and spoken)
