Position Purpose
The role of Android Developer is responsible for all apsects of mobile application development including product testing, trouble-shooting and production support. The Andriod Developer will deliver new products and features for Wave Money’s mobile financial services business. He/She will collaborate with the rest of the Application Development and will have a strong focus on deliverying high quality applications. The Andriod Developer is expected to be able to debug, fix and support Wave Money Andriod Applications. He/She will work in close cooperation with Business, Operations, and external partners to ensure requirements, use cases and stories are correctly translated into a working application. iOS Experience will be highly desirable but is not essential.

• Drive the development of our mobile applications with a focus on quality and performance
• Automate mobile application testing
• Diagnose and resolve app front-end related issues in timely manner
• Delivery of products, features and configuration changes
• Support & participate in app server outage/any other app incident/issue
• Positive engagement with technology team and non-technology stakeholders which drives outcomes.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
• Design and build applications for the Android application platform
• Deliver MFS app platform requirements and associated eco-system to meet current and future business requirements
• Ensuring non-regression when developing new features
• Supporting successful deployment, product enhancement and go-live activities (this will involve regular participation in non-business hours operation)
• Participate as a member of the technology team in IT governance processes and solution delivery
• Ensure mobile app platform environment run smoothly with zero outage
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
• Institute Behavioral Driven Development at Wave Money
• Automate mobile application testing using BDD automation tools and Jenkins

Key Performance and Success Indicators
The Android developer plays a key member in developing and delivery new products & features:
• Meets the milestones with a project manager/product owner view)
• With the expected quality of delivery
• Improves internal processes making them more productive (build time, automated deployment and automated testing).
• Generate KPIs for development by generating reports for JIRA and Bitbucket
He/She is also expected to a source of proposition for the UI/UX and improvement of features and processes.

Experience, Functional Skills and Knowledge Areas
• Education and qualifications: Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s in Computer Science or Technology
• Functional skills and knowledge areas:
• Experience in building Android applications that can handle Unicode/zawgyi display
• Minimum of 2 years Mobile Application Experience with Android development
• Knowledge or experience with Android SDK and Java development skills
• Knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
• Experience in Front-End development and knowledge
