Position PurposeAndroid developer is responsible for contributing android application development, product testing and Go-Live acitvites of new features and products of the Wave Money mobile financial services business.He/She ensure to collaborate with App development team leader with a strong focus on delivery, debugging, fixing and supporting app related issues. She/he will work in close relationship with Business and IT teams, and external partnersKey Result Areas• Support the mobile app development • Fix app front-end related issues• Delivery of products, features and configuration changes• Support & participate in app server outage/any other app incident/issue• Positive engagement with technology team and non-technology stakeholders which drives outcomes.Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities• Design and build applications for the android application platform• Deliver MFS app platform requirements and associated eco-system to meet current and future business requirements• Ensuring non-regression when developing new features• Supporting deployment, product change and go-live activities success (this will involve regular participation in non-business hours operation)• Participate as a member of the technology team in IT governance processes and solution delivery• Ensure mobile app platform environment run smoothly with zero outage • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications• Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatizationKey Performance and Success Indicators Junior Android developer plays a key member in developing and delivery new products & features:• Meets the milestones with a project manager/product owner view)• With the expected quality of delivery he/she is also expected to a source of proposition for the UI/UX and improvement of features and processes.Key Stakeholders• Wave: Product team • Telenor partner: Telenor IT, Telenor App Team • Yoma partner: Yoma IT• Vendors: App, middleware, core mobile financial services platform
Competencies• Coordination• Communication –written and verbal• Self-improvement• Team work • Outstanding problem solving skill• Attention to detail• Self-driven• Interpersonal Skill• Creative mindset• Organization SkillExperience, Functional Skills and Knowledge Areas• Education and qualifications: Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s in Computer Science or Technology• Functional skills and knowledge areas:• Experience in building android applications that can handle Unicode/zawgyi display • 5 years Mobile Application Experience with Android development• Knowledge or experience with Android SDK and Java development skills • Knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices• Experience in Front-End development and knowledge in Back-End development• Experience or knowledge in performance analysis ,tuning and deliver an effective mobile user experience• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect android applications to back-end services• Knowledge of other third-party libraries, APIs ,web technologies and UI/UX standards• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications• Excellent debugging skills to solve challenging problems and strong programming skills: Java and Android Developer Tools, designing & development with native and hybrid• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle• Proper documentation and systematic archival of all project source codes and binary• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologiesLanguage requirements:English and Burmese (fluent written and spoken)
