Job Description

- Ensures that employees understand the hotel policy
- Make sure staff/Supervisors are talking care of guests treating them with the utmost care and courtesy
- Assists in training the team to ensure accuracy of reservations and overall accounting paperwork and maintain excellent work ethic and moral
- Hotel Staff/Supervisor accountable
- Supervises the operation of the Front Desk form a side-by-side method, including Front Desk procedures
- Performs duties at the Front Desk, such as check-ins and checkouts on a regular basis
- Informs Housekeeping of necessary information relating to rooms forecast, occupancy, checkouts, traces, etc
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by Management
- Takes ownership of any and all issues brought forth to you as a leader
- Self-motivate and motivate the team
- Assist guests with any concerns or inquiries pertaining to hotel services that they might have during their stay
- Contacts housekeeping or maintenance staff when guests report problems
- Respond to and log all guest requests and follow up to assure a satisfactory outcome and to ensure request was taken care of
- Issues and records usage of safety deposit boxes as directed by the General Manager
- Up sell rooms where possible to maximize hotel revenue
- Promote team work and quality service through daily communications and coordination with other departments
- Passes on to the next shift all information and facts that he or she needs to know or be aware of
- Must possess a positive, outgoing and upbeat personality with a desire to deliver outstanding customer service
- Problem solve in order to effectively deal with customers
- Use a computer/keyboard to operate various property management and reservations systems, etc; and ability to use email
- Reason and motivate the team
- Flexible with scheduling and be able to work various shifts, willing to work days, nights, weekends, holidays and long hours when required
- Must speak fluent English
- Multi-task, detail oriented and comfortable with heavy telephone call volume
- Receive constructive criticism

Job Requirements

- 1-3. years of hotel, front desk manager/ supervisory experience which includes hotel administration and accounting
- Associates degree in hotel management or equivalent vocational training certificate accepted
- Experience in housekeeping, food services and maintenance preferred
- Demonstrated and recommended for customer service-centric capabilities
- Superior user capabilities in computer software products including property management software
