Job Summary:
Assist the Director of HR in the smooth and efficient running of Human Resources Department. Maintain a suitable climate of associates relations to achieve operating goals. Ensure all local and government legislation and HR Policy and Procedure is strictly adhered to. Coordinate with all departments to advise line management and associates on all Human Resources matters.

The job scope includes performing the related position tasks of handling all four buildings of Hotel, Office Tower, Residence and
an apartment which is directly managed by the Hotel Management

Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Proved a professional, advisory and executive support service to the Director of HR to assist in strategic goals or the establishment.
2. Participate in the development and implementation of policies for the establishment.
3. Liaise with other Department Heads and make written recommendations requiring staffing levels and forwards to Director of HR for approval.
4. Ensure efficient utilization of departmental resources.
5. Analyzes associates turnover ratio and advice and in cooperation with Director of HR.
6. Ensure orientation and induction of new associates occur prior to the actual commencement of work if practical.
7. Lead by example of leadership in achieving service excellence.
8. Encourage and support all training programs.
9. Encourage creativity and initiative.
10. Cooperate with other Department Heads in order to achieve service excellence with internal & external customers.
11. Advise Director of HR on all local Labor Law issues.
12. Contact with government agencies such as labour office, tax office, SSB office.
13. Assist in coordinating the daily administration of the department.
14. Perform associated training duties in the absence of the Training Manager.
15. Assist Department Heads in maintaining current knowledge and understanding of contemporary Human Resource Issues.
16. Coordinate the screening of all applicants.
17. Assist in the formulation of Human Resources/ Training Strategies.
18. Assist in developing and maintaining an appropriate skills database.
19. Develop individual training programs for associates according to job requirements with a view to multiskill associates.
20. Liaise closely with local and federal industry bodies, unions and training authorities.
21. Lead and participate in hotel CSR programs.
22. Organize and assign the weekly departmental visits to inspect grooming and hear the feedback from the associates.
23. Ensure all associates are paid in line with their terms of employment.
24. Ensure all workers compensation claims and superannuation memberships are processed.
25. Coordinate work experience and rehabilitation programs.
26. Maintain relationship with appropriate authorities to ensure kept up to date on changes to regulations and opportunities to provide input.

Job Requirements

Job Knowledge / Skill:
1. Fluent in written and spoken English.
2. Excellent knowledge of local labour laws.
3. A good relationship with the local labour bureau and government agencies.
4. Leadership and management skills
Education:
University and above.

Experience:
Minimum 5 years related the working experience in hotel industry.

Additional Skill required:
1. Good communication skill, self-motivated.
2. Computer literacy.
3. Good skills of organization and presentation.
