-Accountable for the effortless and seamless maintenance and control of the resorts daily, weekly and monthly finances and accounting practices.

-To act as the main contact for associates and other hotel departments for any information relating to the resorts accounting / finances.

-The Chief Accountant will be required to conduct their duties in a courteous, safe and efficient manner, in accordance with the hotel’s policies and procedures, ensuring that a high level of service is maintained.

REPORTS TO: General Manager

-Income Auditor & Cost Controller
-A/R & A/P
-Receiver & General Cashier
-Storekeeper & Purchasing Officer

Job Requirements

-High school, diploma in Business/Accounting Management or equivalent education required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
-Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
-Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
-Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
-Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
-Most tasks are performed in a team environment with the employee acting as a team leader. There is minimal direct supervision.
-Must possess basic computational ability.
-Must possess basic computer skills.
-Knowledge of computer accounting programs, math skills as well as budgetary analysis capabilities required.
-Extensive knowledge of the hotel, its services, and facilities.
-Five to seven years experience in Hotel/Resort Finance Department, including at least two years as Assistant Chief Accountant/Accounts Supervisor and supervisory experience, required.
-CBA or CMA
