Coal Geologist at Leading Mining Service Company in Yangon
• Design and execute exploration for a variety of Myanmar clients
• Up to 1,700,000 MMK + other allowances

About the Company

One of the leading mining services providers in Myanmar. Internationally owned service company which providing wide range of services in the industry.

The Role

● Agreement with company management, develop and drilling programmes for a variety of Myanmar clients
● Check up and compile exploration data from pervious exploration programmes
● Manufacture high quality and well-presented reports in Chinese as well as in English
● Managed and organize the activities of field staff

Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in coal exploration and drilling
• B.Sc. Degree in Geology minimum and Diploma in GIS/ RS preferred
• Must be bilingual in written and spoken Mandarin (technical report level), and written and spoken English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), ARCGIS, Global Mapper and other mapping software
• Ability to supervise, guide and train junior staff
• Meets deadlines for all tasks and Strong communication skills
• Must be able to travel in Myanmar, and work in the field for extended periods of up to several weeks
• Must have a working knowledge of the Chinese Classification for reporting of Mineral Resources and Reserves (CCMR / UNFC)
• Some knowledge of the JORC Code for reporting of Mineral Resources and Reserves is desirable but not essential
