• Assist with the development, implementation and evaluation of a Community Awareness Strategy on AWBA’s Grievance Mechanism and CSR activities with Community Engagement team and the Field Volunteer team. • Design and coordinate events for targeted village groups to increase the profile of Grievance mechanism and deliver key messages to community.• Produce documents and promotional material of a professional standard that comply with community engagement plans, suitable for external communication to a variety of target audiences. • Represent AWBA Community team to various communities and other networks, the local stakeholders and young people. • Quantitative and statistical evaluation of data, maintaining workshop minutes, writing final reports, maintaining data and program records.• Participate in relevant training and development activities as an effective team member. • Develop and maintain positive and effective working relationships with a broad range of people and organizations. • Must positively represent AWBA’s Environment and Communication Team to the public, community, government and other organizations.• Establish relationships with communities to support exchange of information to understand community stakeholder’s risks, impacts, and interest of Awba. • To support in organizing meetings, surveys, and assessments within the community • Other duties consistent with the position where required and/or requested by management from time to time when there is needed.
• Ability to engage and communicate to groups of people, tailoring communication to suit a specific target group. • Demonstrated understanding of the challenges and experiences of village community from diverse backgrounds including Negative Stakeholders• Broad knowledge of the range of Health, Safety Environmental and Community. • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills in Myanmar and in English. • Basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and database applications. • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple and competing work tasks and deliver to agreed deadlines. • Build and maintain relationships with community stakeholders. • Identify, monitor, analyze and communicate operation updates and activities to concerned community stakeholders. • Support the development and implementation of stakeholder engagement programs at the field and office level. • High levels of professionalism, confidentiality and discretion. • Approaches tasks with a positive attitude. • Self-motivated and demonstrates initiative. • Ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to problems.
