- Offer foresight rather than just insight, by proactively identifying consumer and market trends, and using these to shape the category strategy.
- Identify strategic possibilities for business growth through market development and tactical opportunities for the marketing teams to capitalize on.
- Facilitate innovation and communication development and deployment insight process and brand performance insight capabilities to guide the business on optimization and growth opportunity identification and measurement.
- Deliver through people, leveraging your ability to create partnerships and collaborate with a wide spectrum of marketing teams, agencies, CMI expertise teams and external partners to deliver against business needs.
- Be independent and deliver fact-based, objective views of the business. You will provide inspirational and credible recommendations to marketing business partners
- Operate in a professional manner, applying Unilever CMI tools and techniques with rigour and discipline.
- Use your innate ability and passion to understand and empathize with consumers and customers to deliver valuable insights to the business


Key Responsibilities

- Core partner to your category leads in Home Care, Personal Care and Foods
- Partner in building Market Development insights in Home-care across Fabric Cleaning, Fabric Conditioners and Household Care – being the consumer's voice.
- Be the custodian of consumer and market data across categories. There is an immediate need in Home Care to establish the market size and volume estimation exercise across its small C’s. Need
for prudent resource utilization and candidate should have an entrepreneurial approach to utilize and triangulate from existing data points and commission research only when absolutely needed.
- Leads consumer insight into core CCBT agenda of strategy, S&OP, innovation deployment, Communication deployment, NRM, etc.
- Leads consumer guidance for ‘70/20/10 Innovation’
- Interfaces with CMI Centres of Excellence to bring agile answers to business questions and identify growth opportunities.
- Deliver local consumer connection programmes that create growth insights for brands and categories.
- Manage CMI budgets prudently, manage agency partners, ensuring maximum value for the business with regard to quality, timeliness and service

Job Requirements

- Bachelor Degree and Master Degree is a plus.
- At least 4 – 5 years of experience in Market Research, CMI Marketing (Agency or Client)
- Should have strong quantitative skills and a desire for mix development insights especially in Market Development opportunities.
- Think strategically – ability to design, develop and land country and cross-category level work
- Ability to provide strategic consumer insight partnership/planner with the business
- A positive attitude and can-do outlook to keep the agency teams motivated and inspired to work with the team.
- Develop work which is fact-based rather than fact-filled, focusing on recommendations and outcomes
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal are needed to work with different functions and land insights and messages in a compelling way.
- Ability to build capabilities of CMI & Business Partners, particularly through the adoption of new ‘self-serve’ systems of Unilever.
- Should also have a depth of experience on Understanding Market Research Fundamentals, and Mastering Market Research Techniques
