We are looking for a Copywriter to join our in-house agency team. The ideal candidate will love staying up to date with social media trends, banking communications, and local Myanmar cultural references. They will tell vivid and passionate stories. They will be able to write original long and short form editorial copy, social media posts, advertising slogans, product descriptions, and technical notifications.They will be able to adapt to write in different registers, tones of voice and styles, and will be able to adopt a message to different audiences and media channels. They will have a good command of English to ensure accurate, consistent translations between Myanmar and English. They will be able to create, maintain and manage monthly content calendars for the KBZ Bank and KBZPay facebook pages, working closely with the Digital Team* for campaign management and media buying.*Please note at present, the Digital Team is a third party agency.The roleThe Copywriter will be a core member of a small, collaborative in-house creative agency team. The Copywriter will work on digital and traditional media projects, creating content and campaign ideas for different channels. This role will be around 50% dedicated to social media and digital content (including Workplace internal comms, in-app notifications, and in-app banner development) and 50% to other traditional media, product guides, printed marketing materials, and activation materials. They should be able to work fast and accurately and to think proactively to suggest ideas based on their knowledge of marketing and the needs of the business. They will be expected to create presentation documents to present creative work to the Head of Marketing. They will be expected to be always trying to improve the standard of creativity at KBZ Bank. The Copywriter will report into the Creative Lead. The Copywriter will be expected to recommend the type of graphic content that will be most appropriate to communicate a specific message (eg. Interactive banner, lead generation ad, motion graphic etc)Responsibilities• Create and manage a Social Media content calendar for KBZ Bank and KBZPay. • Work closely with the Marketing Business Partners (Account Team) to turn client objectives and information into engaging content. • Write clear, impactful copy to accompany graphics and visual elements from the graphic designer.• Run brainstorm sessions to get inputs from a wider team, and present the results of these brainstorm sessions to the Head of Marketing. • Translate between English and Myanmar languages.• Edit and proofread communications materials developed by other teams within the business.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a copywriter working on a range of brands and platforms – either in an agency or client business. - Knowledge of advertising, marketing or journalism beneficial.- Experience working as part of a team, and delivering high-quality work under strict time pressure.- Some experience in production for different platforms; able to oversee printing and publishing, understanding of font formats for web content, critical eye for quality.- Proven ability to develop own ideas that meet the needs of the business; able to think creatively and innovatively, not just to follow instructions.
