• Advise senior management on corporate governance policies, compliance of law, regulations, tax matters, legal rights.
• Draft and solidify agreements, contracts and other legal documents to ensure the company’s full legal rights.
• Standardising existing common legal documents, such as NDA, MOU, lease, contracts with supplier, etc.
• Arranging and assessing the terms all types of legal documents like contracts, leases, licenses, sales, purchases and projects, etc.
• Monitoring the terms of critical agreements such as MSA, JOA and PSC to ensure compliance and legal rights are fully exercised.
• Resolve labour issues, manage legal and taxes matters.
• Communicate and negotiate with external parties such as regulators, external counsel, public authority, etc.
• Gathering information and evidences to help the management make decisions.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in law, or equivalent business experience and 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in law firm or legal department of a large corporation.
• Preference will be given to candidates familiar with Myanmar local regulations and has international exposure to commercial contract negotiation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Proficiency in MS Office
Primarily in an office environment from Monday to Saturday. Periodic weekend or evening work is expected.
