• Run the monthly cost forecasts and ensure all targets are met within the stipulated time
• Plan, organize and direct all the activities of the cost accounting function
• Apportion costs between manifold units of production and management
• Ensure the arrangement of cost of production to material costs, wages, and overhead costs
• Manager day to day operations of the existing cost accounting function from management of current rates to monthly close and analysis
• Development and maintenance of standard costs
• Perform the monthly closing activities including preparation of the cost to operate statement along with supporting analysis
• Develop metrics and tracking system for major cost drivers
• Define policies and procedures for all cost accounting activities

Job Requirements

• B.Com /B.Act
• Related Diploma
• Min 5-7 years progressive experience in accounting management, preferably as a cost accountant in an international manufacturing/distribution organization
• Excellent experience in audit and costing is advantageous
• Excellent strategic planning skills and able to interact with all levels
• Good MS office skills particularly strong capabilities in MS Excel
• Working experience in SAP/ERP is highly regarded
• Good communication and negotiation skill
• Considering the relative costs and benefit of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
