DUTY AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage a small team of Credit Analysts who will enjoy building great relationships with colleagues in order to achieve common objectives.
- Build strong relationships with business units and clients if needed.
- Undertake site inspections of Yoma Bank's borrowers, including a willingness to travel within Myanmar.
- Ensure that efficient credit underwriting procedures are consistently in line with Yoma Bank’s core credit risk related policies and credit risk appetite.
- Demonstrate responsible business acumen to strike an acceptable balance between business growth and credit quality objectives, (“Risk/Reward”).
- Ensure that the turnaround time for all credit applications is within a reasonable and competitive time frame.
- Ensure all credit underwriting are submitted to the related Credit Committees.
- Oversight of the various Credit portfolios including MFI and AFP.
- Monitor delinquency rates of assigned credit portfolios.
- And other ad-hocs.

Knowledge & Skills
Essential
- Possess a proven track record with credit risk, including applying sound judgement in credit decisions in all stages of the credit cycle.
- Experience with SME and corporate credits.
- Sound knowledge of collections and delinquency monitoring.
- Strong relationship building skills, including an ability to influence senior management of Yoma Bank's borrowers.
- Ability to communicate with and influence senior Yoma Bank management in all matters associated with Credit Risk.
- Thorough understanding of Yoma Bank’s Credit Policy, Risk Appetite and Procedures.
- Thorough understanding of CBM compliance policies.
- Consistently deliver high levels of results, using constructive credit management techniques and to exceed multiple, challenging performance objectives.
- Sound knowledge of collateral (security) documentation and identify any inherent errors.
- Sound knowledge of Myanmar legal processes at a level which would allow challenge with lawyers involved in transactions
- High level of attention to details and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills and time management abilities
- Strong ability to effectively prioritize tasks.

Education & Special Training
Essential
- Degree in one of the following fields; Business, Risk Management, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics and/or any industry specific qualification.
Desirable
- Masters Degree in Business or Finance

Experience
- Experience in managing a small to medium sized, dedicated Credit Risk team.
- Thorough knowledge of lending in the Myanmar market, particularly to SMEs and Corporate gained through practical experience.

- Sound and effective interpersonal & communication skills.
- Bilingual of both English and Burmese.
