• Be a thought partner to the CEO, COO and the executive leadership team to create a modern, agile organization suited to Myanmar’s cultural context
• Develop and implement an HR strategy that aligns with KHMF’s strategic plan and overall mission, vision, and values of the organization, resulting in innovative, best practices and policies that will service the full range of KHMF’s HR needs and help build a high-performing culture
• Gain an understanding of the organization and participate in strategic discussions and decision making. Serve as a strategic partner to all members of the executive management team, and provide insightful, innovative thinking and problem solving on critical HR issues.
• Optimize the HR function/team, modernize and refine key processes and activities aligned toward achieving strategic objectives.
• Provide guidance on HR automation, HR analytics & reporting, talent reviews, training, change management, organizational design, diversity and inclusion.
• Provide input on communications to staff and take responsibility for ensuring effective and transparent communication on general communications to all staff.
Operational:
• Proactively manage resource allocation and maintain a competitive approach to recruiting and assimilating high-potential talent throughout the organization – both at headquarters and in the field.
• Advise on people programs and processes to enhance talent attraction, retention, development, and succession.
• Assist Finance in overseeing departmental budget and headcount.
• Develop comprehensive approaches to employee development, retention and onboarding by defining and/or refining: compensation and benefits, employee development, succession planning, and learning opportunities, as appropriate to the needs and resources of KHMF.
• Lead and develop Performance Management, Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Employee Engagement, Benefits, Policy and Compliance across the organization.
• Partner with ICT on HR automation and related systems.
Culture and Development:
• Develop relationships with the employees of KHMF and become the trust executive for advice and counsel on HR, cultural, and organizational issues.
• Counsel, coach and guide managers and staff in addressing concerns and issues to assure fair and equitable treatment while ensuring compliance with local labour laws, regulations and practices.
• Coach and mentor fellow HR managers & colleagues to develop leadership capable of addressing the challenges of a growing organization.
Job Requirements
• Any Bachelor’s degree. Advanced degree or MBA preferred.
• At least 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, with 4-5 years leading an HR function
• High level of business acumen and ability to understand and apply information to contribute to the organization’s strategic plan.
• Advanced knowledge of all facets of HR, including change management and organization design.
• Excellent communications skills – written, verbal and interpersonal – and an ability to tailor communication style to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated capability in adapting and innovating modern HR practices and solutions and right sizing them to the needs of a growing organization.
• Results-driven, agile, change agent with the commitment and confidence to assume a leadership role in an evolving environment.
• Personal integrity, fairness and credibility necessary to gain the trust and commitment of individuals at all levels of the organization.
