The Director of Operations must ensure that all departments are providing exceptional guest service while continually seeking opportunities to maximize departmental efficiency and profitability. The individual will be responsible for increasing guest satisfaction, handling any guest challenges that occur to create repeat customers, and coordinate with all other departments to ensure successful visits for individuals, groups and special events that take place at hotel/ resorts. The Director of Operations will continually strive for excellence in all areas of their operation.

• Achieves high levels of customer satisfaction
• Leads the career development of self and others by attracting and retaining high performing talent, by encouraging and support career development and driving continuous learning
• Consistently delivers accurate forecasting projections for areas of responsibility and implement effective adjustments as required in staffing and other cost drivers to ensure profit integrity
• Manages organizational change productively by driving continuous improvement, building support for change, and adapting to change

Job Requirements

The Director of Operations must possess exceptional leadership skills in guest service, associate relations, and general hotels and resort operations. He/she must be resourceful, highly self-motivated, possess a strong work ethic and sense of urgency, exceptional written/verbal communication skills, and be able to guide and direct work teams, individuals and operating departments to achieve financial objectives. The successful candidate must possess a track record of providing exceptional service experiences balanced with operational efficiency.
To succeed, strong leadership and interpersonal skills required. Ability to multitask and manage multiple teams at once. Must be organized, detail oriented, and able to prioritize multiple projects at once. Excellent communication skills required equally for oral, written and visual presentations. Analytical skills to include budget and financial document preparation. Ability to communicate effectively with both team members and guests for successful operations.

Bachelor’s Degree with over 10 years experience required, MBA preferred. (Business or Hospitality concentration).
