GENERAL DEFINITION

Stonestep Myanmar ASB Ltd. is a growing insurtech company which makes insurance and assistance
products work customers in Myanmar and other regional markets across Asia.

We are recruiting a Training Manager to be based in our Yangon, Myanmar office beginning immediately.
The Training Manager will devise our organizational training strategy, oversee its implementation and
assess its outcomes. The Training Manager will report directly to the Country Manager of Myanmar and
assist Stonestep Myanmar on all strategic and tactical matters related to capacity building of Stonestep’s
and partner’s staff, “train the trainer” workshops, develop educational materials and other activities related
to the Microinsurance Market Development project.

This position provides a unique opportunity in an early-stage company to work with a team which believes
in responsible social development to promote social and economic development.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Trainings
● Draw an overall or individualized training and development plan that addresses Stonestep’s and
partner organization’s needs and enhances customer experience
● Arrange development programs, workshops, and training activities for all Stonestep’s and
partner’s employees to ensure that skills and competency of all employees are strengthened
according to their job requirements and project needs.
● Conduct “Train the Trainer” sessions for effective training programs for a decentralized customer
service model
● Develop training materials, training plans (locations, timetable, logistics, etc.) for the arrangement
of training and development programs, to ensure efficiency in the delivery of desired outcomes
● Prepare and manage training budget
● Identify and assess current and future training needs through job analysis, performance and
scope of work
● Perform evaluation of development programs by collecting feedback from trainees and activities
(pre and post assessment of skills) to guarantee that:
o Training activities are meeting all the stakeholders’ needs
o Monitor the progression and competence of all trainees and continually improve
Stonestep’s training programs.
Financial Education and awareness
● Lead the development of Financial-Education programs: E-learning, Animated Video Stories,
Mobile E-learning platform, etc. Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments
and best practices for Microfinance/Microinsurance/Mobile Network Operators/Mobile wallet
companies and/or organizations.
● Collaborate with the other Stonestep’s Myanmar Managers from other departments to develop
efficient and high-impact mass educational tools

Job Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

● 5+ years of proven work experience in training field
● Track record in designing and executing successful training programs for Financial Service
Providers, Digital Financial Services or Mobile Network Operators.
● Bachelor's Degree required. Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Business Studies /
Administration / Management and Education would be an advantage.
● Alternatively, experience in developing customer service related training programs would be
considered.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

● Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in
classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc)
● Previous experience in Business, Marketing, Sales or similar trainings is highly desirable
● Knowledge of the Insurance, Microfinance, Digital Financial Service providers or Mobile Network
Operators field is highly desirable
● Strong writing and record keeping ability for reports and training manuals
● Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
● Excellent team-building, organization and leadership skills
● Excellent command of both Myanmar and English language.
● Excellent business acumen, leadership and communication skills.
● Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office and Customer Service related applications.
