About The Role:
This position provides a unique opportunity for a Senior/ Junior Engineer to be based in Myanmar and gain both technical and project management experience while reporting to the (Australian) Operations Manager. The role will liaise directly with the local design, implementation and service teams in a dynamic environment. Specific responsibilities include:
• Collect and evaluate design data and site information
• Work with the design team to prepare and review P&ID and layout drawings
• Assist the WT team to prepare bill of materials for procurement
• Expedite the procurement and delivery of equipment as required from both international and local suppliers
• Oversee the project implementation and construction in accordance with the design, conducting site inspections and preparing quality documentation
• Assist the Operations Manager to ensure safety is managed appropriately on site including the preparation and implementation of Safe Work Method Statements
• Prepare as-built documentation
• Assist the Operations Manager with the identification and resolution of technical issues both within project implementation and ongoing service contracts
• Attend client project meetings with both local and foreign companies
• Monitoring of project tasks and assist the Operations Manager with project scheduling
• Prepare project progress reports for the Operations Manager
• Conduct regular coordination meetings with the WT team
• Assist the Operations Manager to determine priorities for allocation of shared resources in order to achieve project objectives

To be successful in this role you will need:

Foreign Only

• Qualified engineer with 2 years of experience in water treatment or construction
• Technical experience in construction and associated project documentation
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety
• Design experience (desirable)
• Ability to use AutoCAD (desirable)
• Willingness to live in Yangon and work with the local team
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Patience and the ability to adapt to changing situations
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
