DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHER:
• Plan, organize and provide instruction in English that meet international standards.
• Provide instruction that is consistent and coordinated with the school’s instructional program so as to ensure that students meet and exceed learning targets.
• Develop and deliver lesson plans that utilize a broad range of appropriate teaching techniques and strategies.
• Address all aspects of communication through appropriate instruction that develops each student’s ability to read, write, speak, and listen in the appropriate content area.
• Administer academic and language assessments, exam preparation, marking and giving feedback to students for the purpose of evaluating student progress for meeting academic learning targets and progress in language acquisition.
• Maintain complete and accurate records of student progress and evidence of growth and progress.
• Provide a nurturing and supportive learning environment that encourages student responsibility and incorporates challenging instructional strategies.
• Adapt curriculum to provide individual, small group, and/or remedial instruction as to meet the needs of individual students and subgroups of students.
• Establish and maintain standards of student behavior required to run an orderly and productive classroom environment.
• Employ a variety of instructional techniques and strategies to meet different aptitudes and interests of students.
• Manage allotted learning time to maximize student achievement.
• Oversee assigned out-of-classroom activities such as English fun activities at the multimedia center as needed
• Attend staff meetings, professional meetings, educational conferences and other teacher training workshops in order to maintain and improve professional competence.

REQUIREMENTS/ QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE AND TRAINING
• Must have a University degree (Major related to Education or Linguistics is desirable) and an English teaching certification or diploma such TKT, CELTA, TEFL or TESOL.
• Be a native speaker from an English speaking country or have a strong command of English Language.
• 2 years proven working experience as an English Language Teacher.
• Excellent English language, written communication, public speaking and presentations skills.
• Good understanding of the Cambridge Assessment English and IELTS syllabuses.
• Have a friendly personality, an appreciation of and the ability to work in an international and multi-cultural environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively and creatively with colleagues as a team member.
• Flexible and use of own initiative
• Understand classroom roles and responsibilities, and your own position within these.
• Ability to use Information Technology effectively to support learning.
