The Finance Director is the member of a senior executive team with responsibility for the company's financial health. Working alongside with MD, the role as an exceptional accountant and hands-on with company finances and be commercially aware, advising on the best path of growth for the business.
The role has overall control and responsibility for all financial aspects of company strategy and is expected to analyse figures and implement recommendations based on these findings, with the most profitable outcomes.
Managing and leading a team through difficult periods including month end, year end and annual budgeting, the role have excellent communication skills with all levels of staff, often having to work with various departments to help them plan and manage their own budgets. Effective control in the periods of change and growth is critical to managing company policies.
Duties and responsibilities
• Form a close working relationship with the Managing Director
• Provide leadership to the Finance and Accounting strategy, to optimise the company’s financial performance and strategic position.
• Oversee, review, and adhere to the budgets for each business department; Assist in company-wide budgetary planning
• Take overall control of the company’s accounting function; Lead and develop finance teams
• Ensure that company financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth.
• Work with senior teams to grow the business, formulating strategies and plans.
• Ensure budgeting processes are carried out and reviewed. Monitor cash flow, accounts, and other financial transactions
• Take ultimate responsibility for the company cash management policies.
• Establish a high level of credibility and manage strong working relationships with external parties including business partners.
• Analyse the financial climate and market trends to assist senior executives in creating strategic plans for the future
• Interpret complex financial information and provide updates and information as needed
• Supervise financial assistants and other employees in the facilitation of day-to-day operations, including tracking financial data, invoicing, payroll, etc.
• Prepare official reports on a monthly and annual basis
• Seek out methods and practices to minimise financial risk
Overall management of the Finance function:
• Contract auditing services to ensure financial monitoring is up-to-date
• Ensure Income Tax and liaise with external authorities
• Prepare for the annual audit and liaise with the Board of Directors and the external auditors
• Responsible for execution, documentation for all local and oversea financial transactions
• Oversee the bookkeeping, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and Prepare Payroll

Job Requirements

• Higher degree in Accounting and Finance; preferred B.Com, ACCA and/or CPA¬¬
• Proven experience in Finance and Accounting as management level or similar role
• Leadership skills; management experience; integrity; honesty; understanding of data privacy standards, excellent mathematical skills
• Ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision-making.
• In-depth knowledge of finance and accounting principles, law and best practices
• Energetic, highly motivated, with an enquiring mind and passion for excellence and
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal; thorough understanding of business principles and practices;
• Attention to detail; organisational skills; planning skills; problem-solving skills; research skills; analytical skills; critical thinking skills;
• Proficient in the use of MA Office and financial management software
• Proficient in English (4) skills
• Preferred oversea working experiences and able to travel abroad if required
