This Position produces forecasts, Budgets, approves pricing, determines if we should move forward with given investments, and produces reporting on all of the above.
Key duties:
• Lead the annual (and preliminary) budget creation / modification, ensuring as accurate as possible modeling of the Operating plan of the company, preparing this for all possible uses, and for tracking actual vs plan.
• Ensure that each Chief and each unit head understands, agrees, and manages their budgets and actuals in accordance with the plan.
• Ensure plan accurately forecasts cash requirements
• Ensure that all Finance Staff, as finance professionals, understand the company's technical operating model, commercial offer, marketing objectives, regulatory environment, and key success factors of the organization. Each should also understand how his/her individual success will contribute to company success.
• Support pricing and other commercial decisions, as well as roll-out and O&M decisions, with timely analysis of financial decision factors.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Create and follow the forecasts of financial performance and cash flow of the company, based on input from other departments.
• Oversee the drafting of the Budget, and present for approval.
• Facilitate regularly meetings between Department Heads and the appropriate Finance staff, to discuss Budget Variances, issues with inter-departmental communication, and other matters.
• Monitor the financial position and results of the company, ensuring that the CFO and others in Management have an accurate understanding of the information and implications.
• Direct the teams that process all transactions and analyze results, ensuring success against agreed KPI's.
• Reporting: management reporting (including monthly business review presentation; board pack), and any reporting required for Investors/banks/financiers including following up of any required ratio’s and recommending moves to management to take any appropriate action necessary
Job Requirements
Key Skills and Competencies:
• Financial reporting, modeling, budgeting, forecasting
• Financial analysis, preferably with experience in Telecoms, ideally with Data services experience
• Must have excellent excel skills
Educational Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
• BA (MBA preferred) in Finance, Accounting, or economics
• Internationally recognized accounting certification helpful, but not required
• 3+ years of experience as an analyst in a mid-sized company
• 3+ years in telecom or related field helpful but not required
• Ability to speak with Senior Management
