Job Description

A Great Opportunity for ...

• Works closely with Finance team to implement, improve and maintain financial management policies, systems, structures, and procedures.
• Ensures the smooth day-to-day running of the finance office through supervision/management of Finance Department staffs.
• Plans and supervises work of the FFMCL and admin staff including tracking and monitoring of outstanding loan portfolio and expenditures, maintains an office purchasing, inventory, and requisition system.
• Ensures field control accounts monthly reconciliation are correct, duly signed, approved and verified by the authorized staff
• Ensures a regular monthly reconciliation of the loan portfolio account book balance to the portfolio balance in MIS
• Works closely with Operation Manager and Risk Manager over the project implementation planning and cash flow projections.
• Makes sure that financial records and backup documentation are ready for internal and external audits
• Ensure the liquidity position is within the sustainable limit of all payments and received
• Review upon compiled monthly branch funding requests and process for approval
• Leads the preparation of the annual budget with the support of the finance team
• Amends and revises the annual budget, in accordance with GM and Board direction
• Works with the Audit department to engage external audit support, review audit findings, and effectively respond to audit findings.
• Management Currency movement between HO & Branches
• Daily Reconciliation of Software & Manual Report.
• Review of month end adjustments, including reversal of accruals, the release of repayments made as appropriate each month.
• Ensures timely submission of monthly financial reports
• Ensures timely follow up actions to fix reporting errors at the field level
• Prepares Consolidated Monthly Financial Statements
• Prepares Monthly and Quarterly Consolidated Portfolio Report including key portfolio performance indicators
• Prepares reports (Weekly, Monthly or as requested by Board of Directors)
• Prepares budget revisions in close coordination with the general manager when necessary

Job Requirements

• A good academic background (4 Years of Graduation preferably in business from reputed universities).
• At least (3) years experience in relevant job
• Strong analytical skills with excellent written communication skills, including the ability to clearly and concisely express analytical conclusions and recommended actions.
• Training on microfinance, lending, Financial analysis, credit analysis [Preferable]
• Strong analytical skill
• Excellent knowledge of MS office, outlook etc.
• Excellent time management and organization skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Effective written and oral communication in English
• Ensure proper verification and understanding of the business for decision making.
