In aiming to achieve this objective, DRI adopts innovative approaches and methods to empower farmers, other rural producers and rural women with access to technology and technical services, banking and financial services, supply chain for agricultural inputs and equipment, market chain for agricultural final produce, and access to services available from government, private sector and development agencies. DRI is seeking the services of a young and dynamic Financial Analyst with 3-5 years of experience in working with accounting and financial systems. Candidates must have interest is pursuing professional development in financial analysis and accounting, business planning and credit risk management of micro and small enterprises, especially those located in the rural areas and small urban towns.

Key tasks are listed below:
1. Work under the direct supervision of the Managing Director.
2. Develop professional approach to organising work with accountability and results-orientation.
3. Become fully skilled in operating Financial Management and Business Planning software and other IT based financial analysis work adopted by DRI.
4. Develop data collection forms that are user friendly and easy to use by micro and small enterprises in the rural area.
5. Train village residence based “village channel partners” of DRI in use of data collection forms for financial aspects of micro and small enterprises, business
planning, credit risk assessment, etc.
6. Develop training manual in the above-mentioned subject area.
7. Assume responsibility for providing assistance to DRI’s programme clients such as rural producers to prepare their business plan, credit risk assessment and packaging their loan financing proposal for bank financing.
8. Perform quality assurance of financials of business plan and credit risk assessment proposed by the rural producers who are DRI clients.
9. Other tasks relating to accounting and financial analysis and management of micro and small enterprises, as allocated by Supervisor.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and experience

Candidates should have a university degree in finance and accounting from a recognised university in Myanmar or abroad.
At least 3 years of practical experience in developing and maintaining accounting and financial records, conducting financing analysis of business.
Familiarity of working with accounting software application and full competence in Office software application package including MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook.
Candidates must be willing to learn and acquire additional knowledge and ICT based tools used for financial and business analysis for DRI clients. Candidates must have good communication skills in Myanmar language with some degree of fluency in the English language.
Candidates must be willing to travel for work on assignments in the rural areas and small urban towns in Myanmar.
Reporting
The Financial Analyst will work under direct guidance, supervision and advice of Managing Director and under strategic technical advice and assistance of DRI’s Director and Chief Technical Adviser.
