Job Description

Accountabilities
• Manage submission process of all financial regulatory reporting
• Manage month end close process for both Group and Statutory books
• Ensure compliance with all internal policies and procedures
• Design of new and improvement of existing finance processes
• Lead ad-hoc finance initiatives at a local level and participate in initiatives at a regional level
• Communicate with local authorities and auditors

Experience
• Financial services accounting experience highly desired
• Audit firm experience highly desired. Or, at a minimum guiding an audit engagement and interacting with external and internal auditors
• Statutory account preparation
• Experience in a dual reporting environment – Group versus Statutory accounting
• Working knowledge and experience with online general ledger systems and other electronic financial/MIS systems.
• Financial systems implementation project experience in a large organisation highly desired
• Design and implementation of controls in a finance and accounting department

Job Requirements

• CPA/CA/ACCA or equivalent
• 8 years + in the finance and accounting field
• Upper intermediate to advanced MS Excel.
• Must have experience working with complex spreadsheets and working knowledge of formulas applicable to a professional accounting role
• Sound knowledge of accounting standards and principles
• Knowledge of accounting for banking products highly desired
• Ability to pick up new knowledge and skills quickly – new systems, procedures
• Excellent data manipulation skills in addition to general computer skills
• Solid understanding of reconciliations and principles of financial control
• Adaptable and flexible with ability to respond to a changing environment and independently adapt processes as required
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and English written communication skills with ability to provide direction and guidance to offshore Hub support team
