Job Description

An Exciting Opportunity for ...

The Brief of the Role;

You shall report to the Fleet and Distribution Manager. The Company may elect to change the Line Manager role at its discretion.
You shall work shifts as per a roster and as determined from time to time by the Company. Working 6-day week with 1 rest day allocated. Shifts may include Public Holiday work.
Your work location will be either at a Customer or at the Kospa Warehouse facility at Mingarladone. The place of work will be discussed and agreed with your Line Manager. Transport or a transport allowance will be provided.

Responsibilities;

a) Manage the transport services for the Client to achieve utilization and cost targets. You will work jointly and collaboratively with the Customer, Third Party Vehicle Suppliers and Kospa Fleet and Distribution Dept.
b) Receives and processes all customer orders as per Kospa procedure.
c) Manage the loading and dispatch of vehicles from the customer location to point of delivery to ensure that deadlines and costs are met. This includes the management of queuing and arrival and dispatch. Supervises all drivers to ensure availability and adherence to safety and operational requirements.
d) Manage customer relationships to ensure the standards of service mandated contractually and within KOSPA standards are achieved or bettered.
e) Manage the loading and offloading labour requirements for loads that are not palletized. Ensures records and payments for third party labour are kept and performed to Company standards.
f) Ensures all safety and loading requirements are met. Ensures that all loads are safely and properly secured.
g) Schedule and source vehicles as required to meet the service and demand forecast levels required under the direction of the Fleet and Distribution Manager for Kospa and Third-Party vehicles.
h) Ensures that Third Party Vehicles are clean arrive on time and are road worthy. Ensures that all vehicle checks are performed prior to loading.
i) For Kospa vehicles, ensures all data trackers and GPS units are operable.
j) Obtain all required permits for transport as instructed by the Customer and Line Manager.
k) Performs all administration duties and ensures attendance at Customer daily weekly and other meetings as required. Ensures minutes of all meetings are taken and circulated.
l) Adheres to Kospa policies and procedures by following the required Delegation of Authorities, IT, financial and other procedural guidelines as mandated.
m) Ensure all security, safety, and other SOP as applicable are implemented and adhered to for Kospa and Client sites / vehicles.
n) Any other duties as directed by the management from time to time.

Job Requirements

Requirements;

• Graduated in any field.
• Transport professional with 2+ years’ experience in a fleet or Fleet/Distribution role preferably with 3 PL managing fleet dispatch and scheduling.
• Demonstrable experience of working with contract transport suppliers.
• Contract labour sourcing and team management experience.
• Fluent Burmese speaker.
• Knowledge of road permit and transport regulations.
• Experience of beverage / beer business highly desirable.
• Basic fleet management and maintenance.
• Driver and transport team supervision experience.
• Strong IT skills for Excel and Word.
• Highly motivated, detail oriented, and capable of working under pressure.
• Good organizational and prioritizing ability.
• Distribution supervision experience with capacity planning and utilization.
