ROLE PURPOSE
Frontend developer is responsible for transforming the design and the product vision into working product. His or her work directly influences how users will interact with the system. He or she works hard to stay on top of fast changing technology and invests a lot of energy in learning new tricks. He or she is not only caught up on industry trends in development frameworks but also knows what the near future will bring. He or she loves clean interfaces and has a passion for great user experiences. Great front end developer will also have basic understanding of backend programming and will be willing to learn more to help backend developers write APIs that will help him deliver a great product.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Responsible and primary contact for maintaining and updating Yoma Assist (home loan app)
• Build applications according to the design and provide designers with feedback and suggest tradeoffs when required
• Ensure the code follows latest coding practices and industry standards
• Work closely with backend developers to understand and properly use the systems APIs
• Write both unit and integration tests, and develop automation tools for daily tasks
• Challenge ideas and opinions to avoid pitfalls and inefficient solutions
• Identifies and solves IT dependencies between the digital factory and the wider bank
• Integrates solutions across the different initiatives
• Works tirelessly to increase collaboration between developers and IT operations
• Actively pushes organization and digital labs towards continuous delivery
• Aligns team on current state process implementation
• Finds new & innovative ways of process delivery both immediate and longer term
• Adjusts solutions to current enterprise policies
• Identifies focus areas with high business impact to incorporate in transformation roadmap
• Automates daily tasks & processes to increase developer efficiency

Knowledge & Skills
Essential
• Expert experience with HTML, cross browser CSS, JavaScript and AJAX & responsive design
• Strong experience using JavaScript MVC frameworks, such as React JS, Backbone, etc.
• Understanding of developer workflow & comfortable with frequent releases, testing, and deployment
• Understanding of APIs and use them in practice
• Knowledge of Object-Oriented programing
• Ability to write effective unit and integration tests
• Good communication skills with ability to communicate complex technical concepts and align organization on decisions
• Sound problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly process complex information and present it clearly and simply
• Utilizes team collaboration to create innovative solutions efficiently
• Passionate about technology and excited about the impact of emerging / disruptive technologies

Education & Special Training
Essential
• Completion of tertiary qualifications in a business or related field such as Bachelor of Computer Science or Information Systems or Business, Management, Commerce.

Experience
Essential
• Past experience as a frontend developer
• Mobile development experience
Desirable
• Experience in the Banking sector is a plus

Languages
Essential
• Working proficiency in Myanmar and English.
