Job Description

A Big Opportunity for ...

The successful candidate will be required to work with the Services CEO and current Geology Managers in
leading the Technical team, with responsibilities including -
 Development and design of exploration and drilling programs for a variety of Myanmar clients;
 Supervision of Intermediate and Junior level geology staff and field staff in the execution of exploration
and drilling programs;
 Undertaking liaison with clients on technical details of program and reporting of progress and results;
 Review, compile, interpret and report on exploration data from previous exploration programmes;
 Undertaking liaison with DGSE and MONREC officials on technical issues as required;
 Producing high quality, well-presented reports (in Myanmar and English);
 Assisting in preparation of client proposals, and verbal and written delivery of business development
proposals for existing and new clients.

Job Requirements

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS
 Minimum Bachelor Degree in Geology level, with MSc. level well regarded;
 Diploma in Remote Sensing / GIS well regarded;
 At least 8 years proven mineral exploration experience in several Myanmar geological terrains and
mineral deposit styles; coal geology specialists are also encouraged to apply;
 Previous hard rock and/or alluvial mining experience is not necessary but would be an advantage;
 Ability to undertake presentations to Government departments and clients confidently and
knowledgeably;
 Previous international experience well regarded.

PERSONAL SKILLS
 Proven well-developed leadership and team management skills;
 Ability to supervise, guide and train junior staff;
 Ability to meet deadlines for critical tasks and work well under time pressure;
 Strong technical and non-technical communication skills;
 Ability to travel extensively in Myanmar, and work in the field for extended periods of up to several
weeks;
 Ability to travel internationally as required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
 High proficiency in both written and spoken English;
 Other foreign or Myanmar ethnic language skills well regarded.

COMPUTER SKILLS
 Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), ARCGIS, Global Mapper and
other mapping software;
 Experience in 3D modelling software (Micromine, Vulcan, etc) well regarded.
