Job Description

A Big Opportunity for ...

• Provide excellent leadership and management of Group Finance, measured by the effectiveness, engagement and business partnership of the BUs / Cluster.
• Build productive working relationships with stakeholders in order to understand their business operations and the financial information needs of end users.
• Manage relationships with others across the Group to achieve alignment in key business strategies and decisions.
• Manage the Group’s cash flows within available facilities, providing appropriate reporting to Senior Management.
• Manage the Group’s financial reporting obligations, with responsibility for preparation, presentation and submission of Group Consolidated Financials.
• Effectively manage the working capital components of the Group, and in particular Accounts Receivable, cash, Accounts Payable and taxes
• Collaborate, design, implement and review finance systems, policies and procedures to ensure continuous improvement and contemporary relevant practices including IFRS compliant
• Oversee finance systems managing transaction flows from source through interfaces to general ledger.
• Coordinate with the BU Finance teams to ensure that finance ledgers are maintained on a timely basis, are accurate and complete, and structured for the dual purpose of providing relevant information to internal users and meeting statutory obligations.
• Ensure reporting functions and responses to ad hoc requests for financial related information are appropriately delivered.
• To assists proactively with cost control requirements.
• To assist with revenue enhancement possibilities.
• Preparation of consolidated annual budgets (including mid year revisions) for the Group.
• Perform the accounting function for holding company entities.
• Undertake a range of other activities within the Group Finance function, in conjunction with other Finance staff, such as maintenance of consolidated key finance activities (e.g. asset financing); governance/internal control activities; business administration or insurance management.
• Support Financial Planning & Analysis to Identify key non-financial metrics, develop the systems and processes to capture the information and report on these in line with business strategies
• Drive Group Finance transformation initiative to focus on establishing a strong, competent, efficient and effective Finance Organisation for the Group
• Manage the operations of the Group Finance Shared Services Centre for the Group.
• Undertake any other task as and when required by Management
• Generic accountabilities – Finance Human Capital Development
o Finding and Developing Talent
o Build team and individual capability, ensuring personal effectiveness for work in current and future roles.
o Contribute to the effectiveness of the Group Finance team.
o Support team meetings at which progress against KPIs is monitored and discussed
o Coordinate with Group HR L&D on Finance Learning and Development initiative
o Participates in the employee performance appraisal process, providing feedback as needed for the Finance team across the Group

Job Requirements

Must have a college degree, preferably in finance or accounting. Most openings require a Master's of Business Administration (MBA) and/or a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
Holds CFA and working as Finance Analysis (Preferable)
Always paying attention to the detail, ensuring numbers cross reference and tie through to one another with correct formatting.
Pro-active attitude and managing upwards.
Self-starter/common sense
Always appear organised and well presented, even if just a perception.
Produce everything with the end user in mind.
