Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to support the delivery of HR strategy, policies and procedures in line with the Maha’s business plan. It is a key role in managing change and ensuring the achievement of the Maha HR strategies through effective people management practices.

**This position is open to foreigners already living in Myanmar, to Myanmar professionals and Myanmar repats.**

1. Draft, approve and execute Maha’s HR road-map for the next 5 yrs
2. Build Maha’s competency framework
3. Propose Key Behavioral Indicators linked to each KPI for each position/job grade position
4. Manage and keep under 2% of the overall staff turnover
5. Build a High Potential Development Program for Maha’s employees
6. Contribute to the formulation and implementation of the HR Strategy to ensure interdependency between the Maha’s strategic objectives and the local requirements. Work with managers to ensure that the workforce is used effectively and developed appropriately to meet current and future service needs and in support of the Maha.
7. Develop budgeting strategies by anticipating, estimating and forecasting requirements aligned with the Maha’s business strategies
8. Monitor and control the HR budget and report on current and future staffing costs and initiatives.
9. Develop recruitment strategy and oversee its implementation. Interview senior hires as per recruitment policy
10. Supports senior management by providing human resources direction, advice and counsel
11. Understanding of cultural norms, traditions, and working with diverse teams
12. Oversee all HR initiatives, systems and tactics
13. Ability to coach and mentor team members through the process of understanding the needs and responsibilities of human resources within an organization
14. Develop and update procedures, methods, policies, and guidelines
15. To coach and support head of department managers on implementing good HR practices by offering effective HR advice through the interpretation of current policies and procedures, best practice and Employment policies
16. Coordinate employee training and development initiatives
17. Lead HR special projects and new initiatives and communicate and direct on strategy and implementation
18. Develop and oversee performance management processes to support a performance-driven culture at an individual and organizational level.
19. To work with the Heads of Department on succession planning to provide opportunities for promotion and advancement for staff across the organization
20. Co-ordinate compensation and benefits policies and advise annual salary increase on staff salaries about external MFIs benchmarks.
21. Present and report RNC Chairman regarding with the HR department’s issues, reports, and updates.
22. Train the HR team members to become future Heads of HR “material”

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree is minimum; Master’s degree in business administration, Human Resources Management preferred
2. Minimum 10 years working experiences in related field
3. Working overseas a strong plus
4. Ability to deal with board HR committees a strong plus
5. Well understanding of relevant HR legislation, policy and procedures
6. Ability to work under stress and with tight deadlines
7. Excellent English proficiency, both spoken and written
