ROLE PURPOSEThis role requires hands-on experience and leadership skills; in all aspects of planning, operations, financial and key IT controls for Banking IT infrastructure and Operations.Head of Technology Operations will take care of both IT Operations as well as Digital Banking Operations; this includes cards, online/mobile banking, retail/branch banking, products support, IT/Network Systems, EOD, IT Service Management including Helpdesk, and overseeing all aspects of Technology Division’s day to day operations. In addition, the person should have sound knowledge of Trade Financing as well as Treasury in supporting these operationsand provide guidance and leadership to Banking Operations and Technology Team Leads on all technical issues. Another component is to be able to manage and apply software, firmware, and hardware solutions that works in an advantageous manner for the bank while ensuring technical and network security. Additionally, must be able to troubleshoot technical emergencies in an immediate fashion and have a solid research and business foundation to make decisions that are financially sound and provide value to the bank’s bottom-line.RESPONSIBILITIESTechnology responsibilities include Banking Applications operations, Servers/Storage, Database, Network Services, Computer Support, Information Security and Data Centre management. This position is responsible for ensuring daily operations are performed and strategic plans/roadmaps are created/ maintained and executed upon for each technology area and personnel. Managerial responsibilities include the management of 80-100technology professionals, some of which are managed by managers, which includes individual coaching, hiring/terminations, and annual performance/salary reviews. Budgeting responsibilities include creating/planning an annual budget, capital and expense forecast and tracking and cost controls that align with the overall technology financial plan.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:- Leading Technology Operation Teams in achieving business goals; to enable technology to support the business- Must be able to handle people and communicate with individuals at many different levels from within and from outside of the bank. - Additionally, although this a technical position there is a need for understanding business requirements and banking operations as this position has unique communication and business needs.- Strategist, plan, develop and implement the information technologies and associated processes that meet the business and technology needs/ manage and direct the - - Countrywide Technology Operations function/ provide interface between Domestic and International sites regarding technology needs to support the business. - Ensure the smooth operations of Yoma Bank technology operations and deep understanding of Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP) to achieve high availability of banking systems.- Ensure the setup of accounts and account features in the core banking system.- Ensure the smooth operation of Yoma Bank digital channels, including integration with Yoma Bank’s partner Wave Money- Design and document business rules for product and channels- Implement product prototype testing as well as ensuring quality assurance testing is in place- Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Knowledge & SkillsEssential- Ten years or more experience in Information Technology including IT/Network Systems, EOD, Helpdesk Support, and overseeing all aspects of Technology Division’s day to day operations. - Five or more years in supervision or management in Domestic/ International Banking Operations (including cards, online/mobile banking, trade financing as well as treasury in supporting these operations) and staff of a small or medium-sized systems environment. - Strong communication skills and organizational skills around projects, tasks and coordinating new and existing tasks/projects- Strong leadership and knowledge around process change and introduction of changes to the department and organization- Strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.Desirable- Strong project management skillsEducation & Special TrainingEssential- B.C.Sc/ Bachelors of Science (Business IT)/ Bachelor of Computing (Information Systems) with a healthy dose of business classes (Diploma in Banking/ Master of Banking and Finance/ MBA)- Cisco certifications such as CCIE or CCNP- Red Hat and Solaris certifications such as RHCE or OCP Solaris 10/11 Administrator / Oracle Certified Database Administrator- Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert- Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM or CGEIT- Virtualization certifications such as VMware Certified Professional would be a plus- ITIL, CoBIT or IT Governance and Management certifications- Risk Management knowledge would be a plus- Cloud certifications such as AWS/Azure would be a plusDesirable- Knowledge of Technology Architecture ExperienceEssential- Your education and work experience need to demonstrate that you have the training and professional background for the necessary skills.- Experienced in managing a complex project in a demanding environment, and simply be smart and energetic enough to learn the new technologiesDesirable- Experienced with Cloud Technologies and virtualization technologies- Experienced with Programming languages - Experienced as Head of IT, General Manager (IT) who has managed a team of 50 or more LanguagesEssential- Ability to communicate (verbal and written) fluently in Myanmar and working proficiency in English language.
