JOB PURPOSE
The position of Home Loan Business Development Manager assists in attaining bank goals through active participation in home loan sales management and developers/real estate management program. This position will be executing Yoma Bank’s home loan business strategy with a view to achieve targeted revenue budgets. He/she will also work closely with various teams, especially credit department at Yoma Bank’s Head Office and Branches to develop and maintain new strategic banking relationships & act as the main point of contact.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• The position is responsible to engage in business development activities and sourcing of new business; be actively involved in achieiving a positive sales outcome for home loan portfolio.
• Maintain ongoing Business Development activities focused on creating developers/real estate partnerships, and lead conversion improvements in existing relationships.
• Perform pre-qualification assessment and analysis of financial condition and risk of financing requests within framework of Bank credit policy.
• Gather and analyse all information necessary to present a sound loan file for approval; meet with existing and potential customers; site inspections; negotiate loan terms & conditions; approve loans within established time frame.
• Monitor & supervise the performance & effectiveness of sales force from branch and head office dedicated to servicing home loan customers. Also accountable for evaluating & sharing the performance results of the sales force of the home loan team.
• Responsible for creating a work environment for the Home Loan team that drives results and positively energizes team members.
• Know and be in compliance with regulations and Yoma Bank’s Home Loan policy and procedures as well as overall Yoma Bank’s credit policy.

Job Requirements

Knowledge & Skills
Essential
• Ability to develop sales and business development skills for customers and/or projects.
• A sound knowledge of Myanmar real estate and property market
• Familiar with loan origination and underwriting guidelines
• Proficient organizational skills with ability to prioritize
• Good time management skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Strong interpersonal skills and a team player with ability to coordinate with cross-team members and support functions.
• Ability to work autonomously & capacity to take pressure and deliver business objectives, complete task deadline and prioritize workload are some key traits of a successful candidate.

Education & Special Training
Preferred
• Basic Degree in Business Finance, Economics or other business management discipline.

Experience
Essential
• Minimum 3 years prior experience in Myanmar commercial or corporate banking segment.
