Job Description

A Big Opportunity for ...

General Purpose of the Position
To supervise and monitor all housekeeping work in the assigned area with the responsibility to hire/discharge employees, plan and assign workloads, train employees, and audit and inspect the work carried out by the Housekeeping team.

Main Accountabilities
1) Plan the work for the Housekeeping department and distribute assignments accordingly. Assign regular duties and special duties for Housekeeping staff to ensure work
is done as per company standard.
2) Supervise all housekeeping employees, hire new employees as needed, discharge employees when necessary and take disciplinary action to make sure employees follow
rules & regulations.
3) Evaluate employee performance to raise performance standards.
4) Train all employees and assign new employees to work with experienced help.
5) Check and approve all requisitions of equipment and items needed in work.
6) Maintain a lost-and-found section.
7) Maintain a time logbook of all employees within the section
8) Other administrative duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements

Education / Qualifications
- High School education (E)
- Diploma in hotel management (D)
Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of housekeeping processes, equipment/ tools and materials used.

Experience
- Minimum three years of experiences in a similar role (E)
- Experience in managing and developing large teams (E)
- Experience of working in the customer service or hospitality sector (D)

Skills and personal qualities
- Able to use Microsoft office application and internet/ email (E)
- Able to speak and write English at the basic level (E)
- Strong leadership abilities and organizational skills (E)
- Must be able to motivate and develop people (E)
- Strong attention to detail and a high focus on cleanliness (E)
- Ability to deal effectively with people at different levels (E)
