Job Description

An Exciting Opportunity for ...

1) Supervise and lead the Back Office Operations team; ensuring that team members have the ability and motivation to deliver the required levels of performance.
2) Support the Operations Manager and HODs with ensuring all HR processes are completed in a timely and effective manner. These include but are not limited to recruitment of staff up to supervisory level; monitoring and controlling the hotel cadre; performance evaluations and setting of KPIs; and training, onboarding and induction programmes
3) Liaise with Head Office HR for successful resolution of disciplinary, grievance, payroll and performance related matters; ensuring confidentiality and providing counselling and timely responses to staff
4) Plan and organise staff engagement and welfare activities, and effectively manage staff accommodation and messing facilities to ensure high motivation and satisfaction levels among staff
5) Oversee the timely completion of all Hotel and HR administrative tasks
6) Ensure effective allocation and monitoring of security and lifeguard personnel and their work
7) Oversee Procurement activities and ensure compliance with the Group’s Code of Conduct in all such dealings
8) Act as the Hotel’s government liaison and support the Operations Manager for related activities including issuance and renewal of relevant licences
9) Ensure adherence and compliance to the Shwe Taung Group Code of Conduct.
10) Ensure safe and respectful workplaces – a focus on health and safety in the workplace; and treating all colleagues with mutual respect, fairness and dignity.

Job Requirements

1) Graduate degree holder (preferably with HR certificate or HR diploma)
2) Minimum three years’ experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry
3) Able to speak and write English and Myanmar fluently
4) Able to use Microsoft applications, email and internet
5) Understanding and practical knowledge of Myanmar labor law, and other relevant statutory and government regulations
6) Good personal organisational skills; including time management, ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
7) Problem solving, team management and team development skills
