A US based one of the world’s leading packaging companies is looking candidates for the HR Manager and HR Administrator position for their subsidiary in Myanmar.


1/ HR Manager

-The Manager is a critical partner to the General Manager and is primarily responsible for the following areas:
- Effective operations and strategic direction of the human resource and admin function of the plant, including recruitment, staff development, payroll, disciplinary, transfers and termination;
- Responsible for overall staff satisfaction and welfare strategies/programs in the plant;
- Actively implement strategic HR initiatives such as succession planning and staff retention programs for the Company and within the department as and when appropriate;
- Responsible for timely and accurate processing and proper maintenance of plant payroll.
- Major Challenges
1. Recruitment and HR policy establishment for the Company (in initial startup phase);
2. Active staff development and retention
3. Ensuring teamwork among all functional departments and building of a successful work culture in the Company.


2/HR Administrator

- The HR Administrator will actively partner the Finance & HR Manager in HR related matters.
- The HR Administrator is primarily responsible for the following areas:
- Responsible for timely and accurate processing and proper maintenance of plant nonexecutives payroll (including CPF, SDF, FWL, IR8A, etc.).
- Manage industrial relationship with the Company’s UNION and involvement of collective agreement negotiation.
- Administer the plant overtime documentation and tracking against budgeted hours and compliance with Employment Act.
- Responsible for timely monthly reporting and year end labour cost budgeting (non-executive level).
- Assist in all ground work preparation such as VB payout, year-end appraisal and annual leave encashment exercise.
- Monitor the movement of actual headcount against budget headcount.
- Responsible for local recruitment and foreign recruitment.
- Responsible for office housekeeping.
- Ad-hoc projects and duties.
- Assist on HR and compliance policy matters, in consultation with HR Manager.

Job Requirements

1/ HR Manager
- Degree in Human Resources
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in management role.
- Able to use computer to compile reports and presentations.
- Matured and able to provide sound and balanced advice in team-based environment Able to work to tight reporting deadlines
- Experience in newly setup company is a plus
- Proficient in Myanmar Labor Law and Foreign Investment Law labor requirements
- Strong leader who is able to motivate and inspire his Team to achieve their targets and team player, able to work well with other functional departments.
- Good communication skills – able to effectively communicate with Senior Management and staff at the lower level.
- Able to multi task.
- Open and collaborative mindset.

2/HR Administrator
- Minimum Bachelor Degree Holder with Diploma in Human Resource Management
- Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in managing human resource matters at plant level.
- Skills & Competence:
 Able to use computer to compile reports and presentations.
 Matured and able to provide sound and balanced advice in team-based environment.
 Able to work to tight deadlines.
- Interpersonal
Conscientious, motivated and good initiative.
 Able to work well with other functional departments.
Good communication skills – able to effectively communicate with Management and staff at the lower level.
Able to multi task.
