Edify is looking for Information Technology Manager to join one of the most reputable companies in Myanmar, The company is a leading international private company in Myanmar employing more than 6000 local human resource talents, and operating 16 principle subsidiaries in Myanmar and surrounding nations. The company is doing business in Insurance, Finance, Energy, Mining, Construction, Manufacturing, Trading and Automobile.

The company is searching for an experienced IT Manager who can maintain and expand our computer networks. The ideal candidate will be able to manage company's WAN, LAN, SAN and EDI computer platforms, while looking for ways to grow the networks in a cost-effective way to meet future needs. The IT Manager will be responsible for developing network maintenance and growth plans, creating annual and project budgets, managing the IT staff and keeping the executive team up to date on the latest networking technologies that could help the company to succeed

Reporting to: MD

Job Purpose: IT manager to be responsible and accountable for the smooth running of our computer systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs and timelines and will supervise the implementation and maintenance of our company’s computing needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:
 Analyze business needs presented by users and recommend technical solutions with completion timeline.
 Develop innovative network troubleshooting methods that reduce downtime and lower repair costs
 Maintain organization’s effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans
 Direct research in emerging technology by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects.
 Establishes voice and data networks by running, pulling, terminating, and splicing cables; installing networking equipment, routers, switches, multiplexors, CCTV camera, and alarm and fire-suppression systems; establishing connections; programming features; establishing connections and integrations; following industry standards; activating remote access tools; coordinating with contractors.
 Documents network by labelling and routing equipment and cables; recording configuration diagrams and specifications.
 Produce detailed timelines and implement effective project control for each software release.
 Verify application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented.
 Preserve assets by implementing disaster recovery, backup procedures, information security and control structures.
 Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
 Manage IT staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance.
 A blend of hardware and software skills along with the ability to work with vendors, subordinates, and other managers.
 Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes, identifying problems, and anticipating organizational requirements.
 Accomplish financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective action.
 Install hardware and peripheral components.
 Load appropriate software packages such as operating systems.
 Administer email and anti-virus systems.
 Troubleshoot and resolve user issues relative to all corporate software in a timely manner.
 Participate in all hardware and software evaluations and maintains vendor contracts.
 Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Soft Skills:

 Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred
 5+ years of experience within Information Technology.
 Experience in the most current technologies.
 Good working hand experience on Linux, Windows OS and server.
 Good experience on technical calculations, AC and DC circuits, digital data communication, media transmissions, fiber optics, and networking technologies.
 Minimum 5 years of team management experience.
 Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems.
 Comprehensive understanding of network architecture and client/server technology.
