Job Description

A Fantastic Opportunity for ...

Key Areas of Responsibility;

1. General Quantity Surveying skills such as (but not limited to) assisting in the preparation of detailed cost plans, price comparisons and BoQ preparation.

2. A focus of the Junior QS role is measurement of quantities as part of estimating project costs early on in the project process. This includes assisting in the preparation of detailed Cost Plan (3 types) and Bills of Quantities from early design information including budget costs for feasibility studies or remeasurement at the end of the project.

3. Assisting in the procurement / award of Contracts including preparing Requests for Proposals (RFP), Scopes of Works (SoW), bid clarifications, tender questionnaires, tender recommendations, price / cost comparisons, negotiating and drafting Contracts.

4. Assisting in the administration of Contracts, assessing interim payment applications (progress claims), variations / claims and Final Accounts.

5. Assisting in the preparation of monthly cost report.

6. Understanding and applying proactive cost control for projects including transparent and competitive procurement and contractual administration / management processes.

7. Ensure contract / job information is accurate and up to date in company share drive.

Job Requirements

• A tertiary-level qualification would be of benefit.
• Experience with FIDIC suite of Contracts and RICS rules of measurement would be of benefit.
• Computer literacy, in particular with MS Excel and MS Word.
• Myanmar language skills are preferred.
• Written English skills would be of benefit.
