BACKGROUND

Yoma Bank has developed the new products tailored for agricultural and livestock sectors through its Agri-
Finance Department. The bank is seeking a qualified Agricultural Credit Analyst whose tasks include
underwriting credit approval requests for both potential and current agricultural clients, working with Agri-
Finance Underwriting and Reporting Manager (AFURM), Agricultural Credit Sales, Services and Customer
Relationship Manager (ACSSCRM) and Head of Department (HOD) to safeguard the bank’s ability to
accurately assess credit applications in a timely manner, and performing continuing monitoring and
inspections on existing agricultural credits to assist leadership in evaluating quality of agricultural loan
portfolio. A highly motivated individual with a strong background in credit underwriting and/or experiences
and knowledgeable in agricultural, livestock, fishery and forestry sectors are more preferable.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Crucial Duties and Responsibilities
 Reviews inbound financial statements on existing customers, updating financial spreads and
communicating any concerns to AFURM.
 Attains and analyses financial, credit and collateral information to appraise the present corporate,
SME and other retail loans portfolio and support AFURM with loan requests in order to approve or
reject applications.
 Analyses financial information received from borrowers and other sources, such as reporting
services, sectorial reports, banks, lending organizations, other concerns and current credit files to
determine tendencies for collectability and profitability of credit request.
 Safeguards that all transactions either conform to the Agricultural Loan Guidelines or safeguard that
all exceptions are disclosed in credit proposal.
 Safeguards existing credit relationships adhere to loan covenants and conditions and that required
information is obtained in a timely manner.
 Produces preliminary credit analysis for CRD review, underwriting and approval process. Supports
numerous lending departments throughout the bank.
 Safeguards efforts in relation to open communication and collaborative efforts amongst the lending
teams, branch and the credit staff by plainly communicating advancement and/or needs in a timely
and accurate manner.
 Supports loan and credit facility production staff in completion of written credit proposals and
presentation to various credit committees.
 Prepare credit terms and condition accordingly with credit approval and follow the pre disbursement
conditions.
 Collaborate and coordinate amongst all relevant stake holders.

Education & Special Training
Essential
 Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration,
Accounting, Finance, or Economics
 Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Words, Excel, Power Point,
Outlook, etc.)

Experience
Essential
 Two or more years’ experiences in agricultural or corporate or SME
credit underwriting and financial statement analysis
 Relevant agricultural experiences a plus

Languages
Essential
 Excellent communications (written/typing in verbal) in Myanmar
 At least business level written and typing in English
Preferred
 Verbal Proficiency in English
