• Lead all commercial aspects of land acquisition negotiations and coordinating with legal counsel to negotiate and execute land control documentation;
• Directly engage landowners to determine interest in project participation;
• Generate and negotiate option to lease or purchase;
• Plan and manage land acquisition strategies, including management of external land acquisition contractors;
• Collaborate with Legal and Finance to adjust lease document terms for different applications; draft and implement changes and train external site control resources;
• Qualify and document initial targets visually using utility interconnection maps and other program-specific, GIS-based data;
• Determine land purchase rates by researching current local market trends;
• Develop pitch materials and manage pre-application requests to obtain non-public data;
• Maintain relationship with property owner in regards to development process and progress;

Job Requirements

• BA Degree, preference for business administration, law, engineering or related field;
• 5+ years of experience in Land Acquisition, preferably in Telecom or Energy (renewables) Sector
• Familiar with Permitting by facilitating all owner approvals needed;
• Experience providing data, documentation and answers for project finance due diligence;
• Comfortable with making and communicating decisions and recommendations without complete information.
• Comfortable with reading, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.
• Knowledge of laws, ordinances, rules, regulations of Myanmar.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Self-motivated – results oriented with high adaptability
• Fluency in both English and Burmese
