Job Description

An Excellent Opportunity for ...

1. Assisting in the review and/or drafting of legal documents (including but not limited to supply agreements, sponsorship agreements, tenders and procurement agreements, memorandums of understanding, letters of appointment, intellectual property agreements and service level agreements) and advising on the same;
2. Working with other departments within the company on the housekeeping of contracts;
3. Working with other departments within the company to educate, implement, promote and enforce group policies such as Code of Business Conduct, Anti-Bribery and HeiRules;
4. Regular updating of contract management database and ensure proper filing system for easy retrieval;
5. Investigating potentially contentious matters (including but not limited to obtaining facts and evidence);
6. Managing litigation matters;
7. Managing the Intellectual Property assets of the company;
8. Liaising with external counsel and the Company Secretary where required;
9. Reviewing legal material for internal use and maintaining of reference files;
10. Keeping information related to cases or transactions in computer databases;
11. Assisting in the preparation of, and conducting, internal trainings and presentations;
12. Other legal and administrative tasks such as preparing presentation materials, drafting minutes for meetings.

Job Requirements

1. LL.B. and/or LL.M
2. At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience in general commercial private practice or in-house position. Candidates with experience in FMCG or F&B Industry will be considered favourably.
3. Good knowledge of contract/business law, company law.
4. Strong communication skills, good command of spoken and written English
5. Strong analytical and legal skills
6. Good with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint Presentation, Outlook & etc) A pleasant disposition
7. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
8. Good interpersonal skills working positively and sensitively with internal staff and external parties, and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment
9. Ability to work flexibly across professional and operational boundaries
10. Ability to engender trust and confidence, and demonstrate integrity in the provision of advice and support on legal issues
11. Self-motivated and independent, able to work with minimum supervision
12. Meticulous and highly organized in handling paperwork
13. Good time management and personal organization skills; ability to organize own work priorities and meet datelines
14. Ability to work with frequent interruptions and deal with unforeseen and urgent demands
15. High standard of professionalism
16. Must be a commercially minded team player
