The Logistics Manager is responsible for the overall supply chain management within Capital Group. This role manages the inventory, ordering, clearance, customs & importing, storage and distribution of goods along with appropriate negotiations with suppliers and transport providers to ensure correct costing for activity. The role also has responsibility to develop and manage to set budgets

• To manage and liaise with the regulators including but not limited to MIC, Customs, Min of Industry on all importation matters in a timely manner so that it meets the business needs.
• To manage and liaise with manufacturers and supplies with regard to all logistics and supply chain management for the importation of machines and parts.
• To manage and liaise with all Business Unit heads on all supply management matter from importation and in country distribution
• Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services
•Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle
•Liaise and negotiate with retailers and consumers
•Develop and maintain consistent processes, operating procedures and key performance indicators within department
Manage quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
•Arrange warehouse, catalog goods, plan routes and process shipments
•Resolve any arising problems or complaints
•Supervise, coach and train assigned workforce
•Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
•Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
•Develop necessary contacts with relevant Government officials

Technical Responsibilities:
•Ensure & maintains up to date knowledge of suppliers within the region and those outside supplying services in country
•maintain up to date information on Customs and Clearance processes

Financial Responsibilities:
•Ensure that costs are managed to allocated budgets or better
•Develop and manage cost control tools to ensure that fees and costs incurred are in line with all quotes and actual charges
