- Manage operating departmental budgets and costs according to annual allocation to ensure efficient allocation of resources, where applicable
- Develop and execute local transport strategies, plans and processes to ensure delivery on time with minimum cost, and in alignment with Group's policy
- Plan and optimize local transport network, mode, route and schedule to ensure everyday deliveries (in full, on time and in compliant way)
- Plan and manage the allocation of resources including manpower resources, trucks and drivers based on business needs to ensure efficient transport operations
- Manage transport vendors including selection of vendors, contract negotiation, KPI review, vendor evaluation to ensure fulfillment of contractual service commitments
- Manage strategies and plans to optimize truck capacity (time, cube and weight), delivery on time and minimizing cost per unit meanwhile quality requirements are not being compromised
- Ensure that operations strictly enforce and adhere to the company’s Health and Safety Policy
- Lead and manage transport management system (TMS) to drive efficiency and effectiveness of transport operations
- Initiate and manage process efficiency initiatives, service level improvement projects and cost control measures
- Manage KPI review and issue resolution with customers, service providers and internal parties
- Collaborate with internal warehousing operations team to ensure seamless and effective product transfer for inbound, outbound and/or proper yard management

- Master Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management or related field
- Minimum five years’ experience in a similar role
- Minimum three years’ experience in a managerial capacity
- Demonstrate knowledge in warehousing, distribution, transport, inventory and supply chain processes
- Demonstrate in-depth, strong understanding of day-to-day running of a transport operation, transportation strategy in the industry of Healthcare, FMCG, PM & TECH
- Demonstrate working understanding of network design methodologies and relevant systems
- Demonstrate working knowledge of transport management system (TMS) and SAP warehouse management (WM) module
- Proven experience in transportation and vendor management
- Demonstrate appreciation and respect for cultural sensitivities especially in international/cross-cultural interactions
- Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Demonstrate fluency in English, both written and spoken
